Beautiful Disaster. [Raksha]

Oh! and that one looks like an elephant. It looks like it's being chased by a spider!
Koji was laying in the lush meadow by the creek, staring up at the cloudy sky. The weather was warm, the sun high up in the sky. He sighed happily, propping himself up onto his elbows. He had been laying outside all day, but it wasn't like he had anything better to do anyway. If he went home, he would be greeted by an empty home. He rubbed his eyes as he sat up completly. He looked down at the creek, picking up a nearby stone and throwing it into the shallow water. On the other side of the creek, it was completly surrounded and covered in dark spruce trees and tall birch. In one tree, his pet owl was perched on a branch with her eyes closed. Koji smiled, running his hand trough his soft purple hair before he crawled closer to the creek. He lifted some water up in his cupped hands before he splashed it on his face, waking him up. Laying in the sun on afternoons like this made him sleepy. Same went for his owl, apparently. She was fast asleep. Koji yawned lazily, falling back into the lush grass before he started rolling around lightly. The soft green blades tickled his bare legs, making him laugh lightly. He regretted wearing shorts. Koji stopped, then looked back up at the sky. Hmmm. It's always the same thing, day after day. Is nothing exciting ever going to happen? He frowned, closing his eyes as he rested his arms behind his head.

It had been a weak since Raksha had escaped that god awful science laboratory and he was extremely lost, not knowing where he was. Raksha was angered by humans for what they had done to him, angered that he was now aimlessly wandering this spruce graved forest with birds cheerfully chirping and squirrels calling each other in annoying voices. "EH SCOTT!!! Give meh back my damn nuts! stop storing them in your mouth!" He heard a squirrel yell across another tree and Raksha growled, keeping his head low.

He was in wolf form at the moment, his anger still surging through him although he had calmed significantly from last week. His red and black fur moved lightly with each step he took, the metal chain clicking it's links together as he walked. The collar that was also made of metal was no longer weighing him down like it did the first time the humans forcefully locked it on him and Raksha now saw it as an accessory, nothing less but a reminder of the pain he had been through. But I'm free now he snarled. Or at least, for now. He knew that the humans would be after him, wanting to run more tests on him or dispose of him. That was entirely up to the leader of that group.

Before Raksha had escaped-no- before he realized that he needed to escape, Raksha had over-heard two of the scientists of "putting him down," stating that he was getting too out of hand and was now a mistake, a screw up. They had went on to explain that they simply wanted to convert him to full human, not a half-blood like he was now with his red long ears, black bushy tail with a red tip and long nails that would grow like a wolves would.

Surrounding him now was spruce, the sound of a what seemed to be a pebble dropping in water echoed to his ears and he wiped his head to the left, where the sound came from. humans... he snarled as he sniffed the air, nose up in the direction where the sound had come.

Koji had his eyes closed when he heard something stir in the bushes. He blinked, sitting back up. He saw nothing, but quickly whistled. His owl, Doughnut automatically woke up and flew to his side. She perched on a tree closer to him, her head turning as she scanned the area. Koji watched her as her wide-eyed gaze turned back to him. He scanned her features, seeing nothing to be alarmed about. He shrugged, laying back down. "I must be hearing things," He sighed, pulling his hand through his purple hair. "It was probably a caterpillar eating a leaf or something stupid like that." Koji frowned, then heard Doughnut let out a 'Hoo,' of amusement. Koji shot her a glare, then closed his eyes again.

Raksha heard a male human talking to what he though to was himself until he heard a small hoo of laughter from an owl. Raksha would from if he was human but simply narrowed his eyes. "The hell is a human talking to an owl of all things?" He muttered with an angered growl as he began to silently pad towards the voice that had now died down. The sound of a creek was now growing slightly louder by each meter he covered and he soon came close to the waters edge, concealing himself behind a bush and tree. Raksha scanned on the other side of the creek to see a man in shorts sitting on the ground with an owl resting on his arm. Now that isn't odd at all Raksha hissed as he kept his head bent low in the shadows, watching the man.

He was cute, he had to admit. But that was no reason he should trust the human and walk right up to him. For all he could know he was a scientist undercover. At the mention of that he quickly wiped his head around, sniffing the air to see if he could detect more human presences. When he confirmed there was none other then the one on the other side of the creek h turned his gaze back to that one, watching him through the shadows and leaves of the tree and bushes.

Doughnut turned her head to the creek, looking at the bushes there. She heard something, more rustling. She began to let out cries of warning, but Koji simply whacked her lightly on her feathery head. "Shush, you," Koji grumbled, keeping his eyes closed. Doughnut then extended her wings, flapping them furiously. Koji groaned, opening his eyes as he turned to look where she was directing her attention. He saw nothing, and frowned. Koji concentrated, his eyes turning a bright shade of ghostly green as he set his gaze on the bushes. He could make out a figure now, and wedged into their mind. He could see from the creatures eyes, looking at Koji through narrowed eyes. Koji gasped, blinking as the green disappeared. He quickly scrambled backwards, grabbing his bag of food and throwing it over his shoulder as he stood up. He stared at the bushes for another long moment, backing up more. "Who's there?" Koji called, his voice trembling with slight fear.

The owl was annoying, flapping it's wings frantically to get the man's attention. but the thing that intrigued Raksha was it's owner. He does not only get along with the owl, his eyes glowed green a bright green at that. Raksha's ears pinned back and he snarled.

"Who's there?" the man called with fear shaking in his voice. Well there's no point in hiding now. Raksha thought as he pushed past the bushes, his head still low with narrowed eyes. He growled low in his throat, tail swishing and chain clinking on the ground from his low head.

Koji heard the rustling grow louder until he saw a huge black creature leap from the bushes. He screamed, stumbling backwards a bit and falling onto his butt in the grass. Doughnut was flying in circles around Koji, her beak holding onto Koji's shirt and trying to pull him along. But Koji was staring at the creature, it seemed to be a wolf. It was the strangest wolf he'd ever seen, he didn't know such colours existed. He stared at it, mesmerized as he blinked slowly. He then snapped back into reality and leaped up, scrambling off in the other direction and out of the clearing.

Raksha lept over the creek and moved quickly, dashing to his side and cutting infront of the man, blocking his path. He didn't know why he was going after this human, he was feeling drawn to him. The chains of the collar clinked together as he moved, making sure the man wouldn't run again. He would jump which ever way the man moved.

Koji froze as the creature jumped in front of him, staring at him with harsh red eyes. He didn't know what to do now, why was this creature coming after him? What had he done? Koji began to back up slowly, dropping his bag from his shoulder and lifting his hands up into the air. His body was shaking in fear. Not once had Koji come across an animal such as this, most of the creatures in this forest were friendly towards Koji, coming and laying with him in the grass. Koji then froze, looking at the collar around it's neck. Koji frowned, wondering what it was. All his fear was replaced with determination, and maybe if he just touched the creature...
Koji stepped forward, falling to his knees in front of the creature. He knew that at any time his face could probably be slashed off, but for some reason, he felt like he could trust this thing. Koji lifted up his shaking hand and laid it on the creatures neck, his fingertips against the collar. His palm laid against the creature's matted black fur. Koji's eyes glowed green for a moment as his vision changed. He was suddenly low to the ground, in what seemed to be a science lab. There were people running after him until he ran out a door that had been opened by some doofus who went outside for a cigarette. Freedom. The air was almost heavenly, the grass was lush. More. More. He ran into the field, only to find the scientists running after him. He ran for miles and miles, finally reaching a thick forest were he hid low in the bushes. Suddenly, Koji's vision cut off and he blinked. He was back staring at the black haired creature in front of him. Koji frowned. "You... poor thing," He whispered, his voice quiet. He ran his fingers through the creature's black fur, petting his neck. All sense of fear had disappeared now, but one wrong move and Koji knew that it was over. The entire time, Doughnut was flying in circles around them, her talons out defensively.

Raksha growled, his body now shaking as the man petted him. Poor my ass he hissed and growled, trying to step back but the man had a hand on the collar. He lowered his head more, pushing his hand off the collar so he could step back. He wasn't angered by this man because he hadn't once lashed out at him, only shown fear and now determination. Before Raksha could notice he had turned back to his human form, kneeling down on the grass with a narrowed red eyes, his ears flat against his black hair and his tail swishing from side to side

Koji shot his hand back, falling onto his butt in surprise as the creature in front of him changed shape. It was now... a human. Koji's jaw hung open lightly as he examined the naked man in front of him. He still had traits of the previous creature, such as wolf ears, sharp claws and a tail. He opened his mouth to say something, but no words escaped. He quickly pushed himself backwards and away from him. "U-U-Uh... O-O-Oh... I-I-I..." He stuttered, then slammed his mouth shut. Doughnut had flown high into the sky, flying in circles around the clearing. Koji couldn't help but notice the flat ears and angry red eyes, and he felt himself be jolted with fear. Koji quickly pushed himself up, grabbing his bag from the grass before he ran as fast as he could out of the clearing and into the thick trees. He didn't know if what he saw was real or not, or if he was just seeing things. He hoped that was the case, for this was to much for his brain to register. He tripped several times over the thick bramble and bushed, sliding through the trees and dodging the branches of spruce in his way. He knew that his home wasn't far away, although he had never taken this route before. His breathing was heavy and escaping in loud pants as he struggled to run, run away from the clearing. He knew Doughnut was flying over top of the trees, following him.

"NO! Don't go....." Raksha whispered, his hand outstretched. He heard shouts in the distance, what sounded like the familiar yells of the people who tortured him. Instant anger boiled up inside him, and he felt himself change again then running in the direction the human ran. He needed to hide somewhere. The chain hung from his neck heavily now, almost dragging him down. I've been running to much the past week. He snarled to himself as he leapt over a log and charged into the thicket of the trees, hoping to drive off the yelling.

"This way! I say red fur! follow the tracks!" He heard one yell, they were gaining land. Raksha cursed and pushed himself harder, trying to follow the scent of the other human who seemed so kind to him. The soft touch of his hand....

"I see him!!" One called and Raksha howled in frustration, stopping at turning to fight.

When Koji was running, he heard the bushes rustling behind him. He turned around, seeing the huge wolf creature behind him again. He stopped, then heard the sound of peoples voices. He could sense the fear and anger radiating from the creature, and he frowned. He remembered his vision, that he was being chased by scientists. He figured that's who it must be. "Hey!" Koji called out, starting to run again. His voice was soft, but he knew that wolves had amazing sense of hearing, so he should be able to pick it up no problem. "Here, follow me! I'll hide you!" He didn't know why he was bothering to defend the creature, but he couldn't bring himself to keep running without him. Koji quickly ran through the trees, and stumbled towards the fence to his backyard. He ran to it and opened the gate, waiting for the other creature to follow.

Raksha heard the man call to him and he turned, following him to leaping through the open gate, sliding to a stop on the dirt. He was panting hard, his head low and his neck aching. I need this off.... he whispered to himself, looking at the man through crimson eyes, fur falling in front of his eyes. I would thank and apologize to him... but i can't. He grumbled and sat down on the ground.

Koji stared at him stupidly, then to his collar. He bent down in front of him, fiddling with the collar for a moment before it loosely fell off. Koji quickly called Doughnut down and gave her the collar. She grabbed it in her talons, then stared at Koji. "Take it somewhere far away from here. It appears to have a tracking device in it," He explained. Doughnut made a notion, showing she understood before she flew up high in the sky and headed in the opposite direction the scientists were coming. Koji turned his gaze back to the large wolf. "It's still not safe here. Come with me," He said, walking up the porch and up to the back door. He couldn't believe he was about to let a god damn wolf into his home, but he appeared interesting to Koji. He opened the door and held it open, waiting for the creature to come in.

He made a pleasant hum of release as the collar dropped away from him, then watched the owl fly away and the man speak then move to the door. Raksha looked at the man at the door, moving to step toward him but hesitating. Why do I want to go with him? For all i know he'll kill me... Raksha looked at the an, then took a risky choice and stepped into the building.

Koji shut the door behind him, then blinked. He hadn't thought past getting the creature into his house. God dammit, what now? He thought to himself, his eyes narrowed lightly. He then sighed. "Are you thirsty?" He asked. He didn't even wait for a response. He just leaned against the wall and closed his eyes, focusing on picturing a bowl filling with water in his mind. From the kitchen, he heard just that before the bowl came floating to him. He grabbed it in his hands then set it down in front of the red and black creature. "Here," He smiled softly, on one knee in front of him. He couldn't help but allow his hand to reach out and lay on top of the wolf's head, stroking his black fur softly between his fingers. It was so soft.

Raksha cowered lightly as he saw the bowl float to the man and then him take it. He was fighting to keep himself angry so he wouldn't change back. He lowered his head, sniffing the water and bowl, narrowing his eyes at it. Now watch...It's going to randomly float up. The man's hand on Raksha's head was comforting him, something that he found very surprising. He hadn't been comforted since the touch of his mate so many years back, when he was 15. I miss her.... He closed his eyes, remembering her like it was just yesterday. The way she playfully nipped his ear or would pounce on him. Their laughter....

Raksha quickly shook his head and began to lap up the water, finishing the bowl quickly.

Koji smiled, taking the bowl from him when he was finished. He rubbed his finger tips together and the bowl levitated and floated off into the kitchen. He folded his arms, sighing. "You probably can't understand a word I'm saying," He frowned, "but you can leave now if you wish, I'm not holding you captive. If you ever need anything to eat or drink just stop by here okay?" He smiled, rubbing his neck before Koji stood up and stretched.

Raksha shook his head, looking at the door then stepping back. He didn't want to be out there with those scientists out there somewhere. He padded over to a couch and grabbed a blanket, allowing his anger to diminish so he could change, then quickly wrapping the blanket around his body. "I could hear you and understand you." He whispered. Raksha's voice was deep, almost sounding like a growl but it wasn't on purpose.

Koji blinked, watching as he turned into a human. He felt slightly freaked out again, but didn't question it. He sighed, walking over and locking the door. "You want to stay here then?" He asked with a frown. He didn't know what to do now, it was strange now that he was in his human form. Koji was never a very good people person, and had poor communication skills.

"Rather that then out there with those bastards" He grumbled miserably, holding the blanket tight around himself. "Do you have something to wear? This is uncomfortable..." He glanced down at the blanket, then glanced at the man. "If I'm burdening you... I could just leave." He grumbled ad casted his eyes to the door. He hated how he felt so calm around this man. "I'm Raksha by the way.." HE whispered, his voice low.

"Oh, no! Not at all," Koji frowned, then nodded. He quickly retreated to his room and grabbed a pair of loose fitting pants and a baggy t shirt. He walked back out to the living room and threw them at him. Koji then smiled, "I'm Koji," He introduced himself, then brought his attention to the window. He saw Doughnut angrily flapping her wings on the porch. Koji quickly ran to the door and allowed her in. She instantly flew to his shoulder, settling herself there with a relaxed 'Hoo'.

Raksha narrowed his eyes at the owl that rested on Koji's shoulder. Without even a word Raksha moved to the next room and changed into the baggy shirt and loose jeans, he was surprised when they fit. The room he was in seemed to be an office one that closely resembled one he was in at the lab. He narrowed his eyes and snarled, quickly walking out of the room, hands in pockets. "I'm not staying here long." he grumbled, eye narrowed.

"Alright," Koji blinked, shuffling his feet nervously. He didn't like how hostile Raksha was, and he examined him with a frown. What exactly was he? Why was he able to change forms? It just... wasn't normal. Koji shook his head lightly, then left the room. He didn't know what to do now, he usually didn't spend much time at home. Koji was usually outside, wandering around aimlessly in the forest from noon till dawn. He looked up at Doughnut, then brought her to her cage. He locked her up after throwing a mouse in her cage for her to eat. Koji walked into the kitchen, grabbing himself a glass of milk and sitting up on the counter.
